Red Velvet Cupcakes

While I WISH I made these myself, I did not. They were by my friend Eva and they tasted absolutely fantastic.

Hi JTu, I'm pretty sure you're one of the very very few people to see this post anyway SO, I guess there's no point in me putting a link to your blog again... Hahahaha.

Jump!

I think it's time for another silhouette shot don't you? My favourite part of the photo: The shadows on the ground.

Friends

To those who know me, I love taking pictures of people. Most of the time, my subjects are my lovely friends (well at least the ones who aren't camera shy). Now for a few human shots =)

Chinese New Year Festival

VIP Entrance Parade @ Fairfield Show Ground
Don't be fooled by the lovely blue sky - it was a stinking hot, humid day. I'm just glad I didn't have to wear formal clothing like these politicians had to. There were heaps of politicians that 'graced us' with their presence yesterday [05/02/2011] including Kristina Keneally, Bob Hawke, Malcolm Fraser and many others who's names I can't remember.
On another note, don't you think that man on the left of the photo looks like he's thrusting a sword into the sky? That just happens to be a poster advocating either the Liberal or Labor Government.

Who doesn't love a good silhouette, especially when the hill you're sitting on overlooks half the suburb?

Raindrops - Looking through front door @ home
This was my first trials at varying shutter speed. Thank you rain drops, you taught me how to use the TV setting on DSLRs.
Worshipping the Sun - Park @ Sunset
When I look at this picture, I find that I can interpret it in different ways. My dear friends could have been 'worshipping the sun', or raising a big ball of light into the sky, or just standing there tanning the pasty undersides of their arms. =) Also, I absolutely love sun flares. It's too bad the one in this picture is hardly noticeable.

Bringing out the oldies

Reach For The Sky - Park @ Sunset
It was a friend's birthday party and a park visit has become tradition. While walking up, I decided there were some shots that could not be missed. I don't have a wide angle lens so it's a shame you can't see what this hill uprise looked like at the time.

Now these photos have been lying on my external hard-drive for some time and I think they need to be brought out into the world somewhere other than on Facebook. Looking through these so called 'favourites' of mine, I realise that I seriously need to go out more to find better locations. I also realised that I have misplaced many of the photos I took a few years back. How strange. When I can find them, I'll post them up because these missing photos are more 'nature' based - with no people in them.
